Savai'i Koko farm in Asau, Savai'i, SAMOA grow the delicious cacao that make up this bar.
The farm is 80 hectares, developed over four generations and progressed by Grower Tuipai Saleimoa Va'ai and his team.
They also work with close to 400 smaller cacao growing families to ferment, dry and put into sacks, the Cacao ready for local and export.
Our Maker Mike visited Samoa last year in 2024 and met some of these growers and did a chocolate making workshop as part of a local festival in Savai'i. There the Growers were able to taste chocolate made from their own local cacao beans.
With flavour notes of vanilla, banana with a toffee twist at the end. Your taste buds will surely find their own descriptions.
